MIS Goes International

In November 2009, Medical Imaging Systems participated in the Alabama Trade Mission to Colombia lead by Governor Bob Riley. A wide range of Alabama Businesses participated in the Trade Mission with the purpose of connecting Alabama Business with business partners in Colombia. Increased exports to Colombia create new revenues for Alabama Business and the State of Alabama. The State of Alabama is sponsoring this mission to help create new jobs in Alabama. With the exporting of Alabama products into Colombia, the Colombians will enjoy high quality products and services at a competitive price. Both the United States and Colombia stand to gain from increased trade.

In the Health Industry, Colombians are looking to the U.S. for quality new and used equipment at a competitive price to lower their costs. Medical Imaging Systems hopes to utilize its contacts and knowledge of the U.S. market to be able to help meet the imaging needs of the Colombians. The Colombians also would like to lower the amount of “downtime” on high end medical imaging equipment. Medical Imaging Systems will help to train and support new service engineers for the Colombian market which would also lower “downtime” and increase productivity and revenues. The revenue models for Columbia has a far lower reimbursement level than that enjoyed by similar US based medical markets.

With the growth of technology, the world has become a much smaller place. MIS has embraced newer technologies for years and is willing and capable to reach out to new International markets for the benefit of both the U.S. and other Countries!
